Terms of service

These terms apply to purchases made through the Balance of Time Shopify checkout, including vintage watches and digital collector guides. Balance of Time is based in Vail, Arizona. If you have questions, contact info@balanceoftime.com or (520) 308-7670. Watch repair and other services are quoted separately unless a specific Shopify listing says otherwise.

Products and condition

Product listings describe what is included in a purchase. Vintage watches are individual pre-owned items. Their age, condition, service history, and known limitations are described to the extent we can establish them. Please read the listing and ask questions before ordering. Photographs are part of the description, but screen settings can affect their appearance. Unless expressly stated in a listing, we do not promise water resistance, a particular level of timekeeping accuracy, or a future service life. These statements do not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown at checkout before you place an order. Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, payment cannot be completed, or a listing contains a material error. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the amount paid.

Delivery, returns, and digital files

Physical watch orders are delivered under our shipping policy. Returns and refunds are governed by our return and refund policy and applicable law. Digital guides are delivered by download. If a download does not work, contact us so we can help. A digital guide purchase grants the buyer a personal, nontransferable right to use the files; it does not transfer copyright or permit resale or redistribution.

Content and updates

The text, images, and other original content on our Shopify storefront and in our digital guides belong to Balance of Time or the identified rights holders. You may use the storefront for lawful shopping and may not copy or commercially exploit its content without permission. Brand names and trademarks mentioned in listings or guides belong to their respective owners; Balance of Time is independent unless a listing expressly states otherwise.

We may update these terms for future purchases by posting a revised version. The terms in effect when an order is placed govern that order, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes non-waivable consumer rights or limits liability where the law does not allow it.
